Santa can expect a warm welcome at Kilmeadan Station this year with a hot chocolate from Mrs Claus's Hot Chocolate Stand. The Waterford & Suir Valley Railway Santa Express will operate from Saturday 3rd December and every weekend leading up to Christmas. Families are invited to enjoy a 20 minute trip on a narrow gauge railway along the banks of the River Suir to the Mossy Wood, with cosy red blankets to keep them warm. When they return to the station tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies will be available from Mrs Claus's Hot Chocolate Stand, and then each family will be called in to visit Santa in his cosy railway cottage.
The Santa Express operates each Saturday and Sunday in December plus Thursday 8th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd December. Maria Kyte, Manager at Waterford & Suir Valley Railway say's "Everyone looks forward to the Santa Express, it is the railway's most popular event and as usual it is booking up fast. The atmosphere at the station is magical and it really sets the tone for Christmas"
