Visit the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway on Sunday 7th June to support Down Syndrome Ireland. From 11am to 1pm the railway will host an HB Ice-cream party as a fundraiser for Down Syndrome Ireland. Visitors to the station will board a special train at 11am, enjoy a 40 minute trip in partially open carriages along the banks of the River Suir. When you return to Kilmeadan Station the party will begin. Dance to the music of John O'Shea, WLRfm, meet some very special characters and enjoy HB ice-cream compliments of Hazelbrook Farm.
All proceeds from the 11am and 12noon trips will go to Down Syndrome Ireland. HB Ice-cream will be available all day for a donation. At the launch of the party Maria Kyte, Manager, Waterford & Suir Valley Railway said "This party was great fun last year so we are looking forward to making it a bigger and better party this year. John O'Shea, WLRfm has kindly offered his services free of charge to add to the party atmosphere. It is a great family event so if you are planning on visiting the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway come for the first two trains to support Down Syndrome Ireland."
